Shaughn Clements

I have always taken the usual family "snapshots", but in 1989 I began to use my camera with a new spirit, and in different adventurous ways.

I began to use my camera's eye to document the trips made with my wife and friends. These trips included backpacking the West Coast Trail, the Grand Canyon, the Rainbow Mountains in Tweedsmuir Provincial Park and other wilderness areas.

This led to a deeper interest in photography and with the encouragement of friends and professional associates I began to explore photography as a second career.

I believe in photographing what I find without complicated equipment and without disturbing the scene by removing or rearranging elements to make a "more perfect" picture.
