Michael Radford was born in Kamloops in 1958. His family relocated to Prince George where Michael finished secondary school and went on to study Fine Arts at the College of New Caledonia.
From 1983 - 1987 he studied in the Studio and Commercial Arts programs at Capilano College in North Vancouver. During this time, he was fortunate to study under many of British Columbia’s finest painters. Here he developed his skill and love for watercolour.
Michael works almost exclusively in watercolours and chooses a variety of subject to paint. Travel in such exotic locations as Mexico, Cuba and India has inspired many of Michael’s works. His home province of BC continues to provide him with beautiful subject matter to paint.
Having displayed pieces in several private and public galleries throughout BC, his work is widely recognized for its distinctive style and subject matter.
Michael’s work is represented in private collections both in Canada and abroad.
