Refrains of France and Italy persist in my latest photo - montages. Children, statuary, ironwork, floor tiles, and cypress trees chant from countryside to city. I see glimpses of the past, like castles in a children’s story. My photography pieces combine toning (sepia or copper), hand colouring, and sometimes paint.
In my painting, I use a multi - layered approach – a complicated yet simple plunge into a personal selection of images, colours, and allusions. I leap to refrains of joyful nuances which are hard to pin down yet a hum a distinct tune. These new wanderings into a different media from the photo - montages series of DREAM E-scapes may be spinning some wheel to full circle or following some Spirit Path. Who can say?
